The Biennial Conference
on University Education in Natural Resources
provides a forum for university-based educators to share
strategies and techniques used to educate the entire spectrum
of audiences
for whom they offer educational programs.
Join us in Corvallis, Oregon, March 13-15,
2008, for what promises to be a fantastic conference. Some
highlights:
 |
optional
activities on Thursday, the
13th, including a pre-conference
field
trip (to the forest and to explore "free-choice learning"
on a wildlife refuge) and one workshop (effective learner
assessment); |
 |
a long
weekend in the glorious (albeit
sometimes damp), agro-silva-pastoral-rich Willamette Valley,
on a classically
beautiful university campus; |
 |
spending quality-time with your colleagues
from across the nation and world, the
"who's who" in teaching matters in our natural
resource education fields, representing diverse
teaching interests. |
The conference is aimed at faculty and
administrators interested in national trends in curricular
issues and innovative teaching methods in natural resource
fields. Graduate and undergraduate students, as well as agency
and organizational partners who both receive and help design
and conduct educational programs are encouraged to attend.
