The conference will be hosted by the Colleges of Forestry and Agricultural Sciences at Oregon State University, Corvallis. It will be held on campus, in classrooms and facilities used by OSU faculty and students. Pre-conference educational field trips will be offered March 13.

Oregon State University is a Land, Sea, Space, and Sun Grant university that is known throughout the world for the breadth, depth, and quality of its educational programs in natural resources. "Managing natural resources that contribute to Oregon’s quality of life, and growing and sustaining natural resources-based industries” is one of five key interdisciplinary themes that guide the university.

Oregon State University is located in the Willamette Valley of western Oregon in close proximity to the Cascade Mountains and the Pacific Ocean; abundant natural resources contribute to the state’s quality of life.

Lodging

You are advised to book your lodging for the conference early. Hotel demand is expected to be high. Rooms at the conference rate will be held until February 16, 2008, for both hotels.

Hilton Garden Inn: Rooms are available at a special conference rate at this hotel, a few minutes' walk to the most distant of our conference facilities. Shuttles available.

Salbasgeon Inn and Suites: Rooms are available at a special conference rate at this hotel, approximately a 2-mile drive to the conference facilities. To reserve your room please call the hotel at 800-965-8808, referencing group code "UENR".

Dormitory Rooms for Student Attendees: Reduced-rate student housing will be available at a nearby dormitory. Dormitory rooms provide:

  • Entrance by key or proximity card only to clean, furnished, and well-lit residence hall,
  • Linen service and front desk service options,
  • Alcohol-free and smoke-free facilities,
  • Gender-specific bathrooms on the end of each wing,
  • Public telephones on main floor,
  • Accessible rooms (ADA compliant) and other accommodations for guests with medical or mobility needs.
